Some conditions that cause ear pain include eustachian tube dysfunction (see above), middle or outer ear infections.
Ear pain can also be caused by a condition in a different part of the body that shares common nerve pathways - also called referred ear pain. Jaw (Temporomandibular) and throat issues also commonly result in referred ear pain.
