Drippy or runny nose

What are the symptoms?
  • Overuse of tissues
  • Drainage in the back of the throat
  • Worsened runny nose when eating
What’s going on behind the scenes?
Sometimes, the nerves within the lining of the nasal cavity are overactive and produce copious amounts of clear drainage, known as vasomotor rhinitis.
How Tucson ENT can help
A runny nose can be treated with a nasal spray a few times a day and is enough to control symptoms for most. However, if medications are insufficient, then you may be a candidate for an in-office freezing of those nerves called the Clarifix procedure.
